You might remember Bruce Munro from his extrodinary dreamlike light installation at the Eden Project, Cornwall.
Above you can see his most recent project which is a sea of 600.000 CDs. Together with the UK press and BBC Wiltshire radio, he encouraged readers and listeners to send unwanted CDs from all over the world. For more; www.brucemunro.co.uk

Project Thirty-Three

Above collection belongs to Project Thirty-Three . The website has an amazing, growing collection of vintage record jackets that have mostly abstract and simple designs.

Project Thirty-Three refers to some similar sites, one of which I loved was Groove is in Art that has a fun collection of surreal and pyscodellic covers like below...

Urban wheels

The Copenhagen Wheel is the new emblem for urban mobility. Developed by MIT's SENSEable City Lab for the city of Copenhagen, The Wheel captures the energy while pedaling, saves it and releases it when you need a boost. Not bad eh?

Very entertaining one-take music video, directed by Brian L. Perkins

Public Art in NYC

Annish Kapoor, Sky Mirror
At Rockefeller Center, September 19 - October 27, 2006

Peter Coffin, Untitled (Sculpture Silhouettes)
City Hall Park, New York, USA, October 2009-May 2010

You come across many artworks walking around NewYork City. I just found out that many of the contemporary examples are produced by the Public Art Fund who work with emerging as well as established artists. Above, are some of my favourite examples of their public art exhibitions.

Happy Living !

"We live now!"is a platform for people to communicate through art and design. The idea behind this collabration is "compelling simplicity, engaging messages, using art to do good & selflessness."

Now and Then

I was suprised to see that it has been more then 100 years since the first version which was made in 1903.
Can't wait to see the 3D Tim Burton version, the teaser looks great and the cast couldnt be better.
